With the date of the tournament fast approaching, these two young football talents cannot contain their excitement. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that makes both their parents incredibly proud as their children set off on this exciting football adventure.

Sam, the son of Sarah (SPC) and George, son of Lucy (Shafton), both playing for Yorkshire RTC Junior Football Academy, have honed their skills over three years, displaying exceptional dedication to the sport. Their selection for this prestigious tournament is a testament to their hard work and passion for football.

This international tournament – which has built a reputation of offering high-level sports tours at elite professional clubs and prestigious events across Europe – will kick off at the end of March, spanning four action-packed days. The excitement is so real as these two up-and-coming football stars get ready to display their skills on the international stage.

Lucy Skidmore at Shafton Steel commented proudly “George is so passionate about his football and he can’t wait to go to Holland, it’ll definitely be an experience to remember. George started playing when he was 6, he just loves football so much and is always playing and if not playing, training.”

“Being able to tell Sam that he could play in Holland was the best feeling ever, he’s so excited and can’t wait”  added super proud Mum, Sarah from SPC.

Shafton Steel takes pride in being the main sponsors for the Yorkshire RTC Junior Football Academy kit, further emphasising their and the Billington Charity Foundation’s commitment to supporting local talent.

Good luck to both Sam and George!
